For parents and prospective students alike, there is a huge amount of choice across the county with 280 schools, public, private and academy, all offering a unique experience. Quality is a constant though, as over 70% of schools and colleges in Worcestershire received an Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ or above.
One Worcestershire supports the county’s aim to connect education and training providers, colleges and the university with local businesses. Every year the Worcestershire Apprenticeships Hub advises more than 25,000 young people about apprenticeships in visits and activities with local schools.
Our university, in the very heart of Worcester, has an outstanding record for graduate employment – 97% of graduates are in work or further study just six months after graduation. It brings impressive revenue for the county too, as University of Worcester boosts the city’s population, and raises the county’s spending power, by over 10,000 every year.
