Many high profile local business figures have already pledged their support to Worcestershire. We spoke to some of them to discover their thoughts on the county as a place to live, work and do business.
Carl Arntzen, Chief Executive, Worcester BOSCH
I originate from Worcester and have lived and worked in Worcestershire for most of my life and career. It is in a great central location, meaning you can get to most parts of the UK within a couple of hours. The scenery is beautiful, it has a vibrant social life and a successful and diverse business community.
Our headquarters and major manufacturing facility is located less than a mile from the M5, we have been here for over 50 years and have created a marketing leading business here, employing over 1200 associates in the area.
Mark Stansfeld, Chair of Worcestershire LEP and the Worcestershire 5G Consortium
Without a doubt, Worcestershire is an exceptional location for businesses to work and invest in. Worcestershire’s connectivity is a unique selling point that sets it apart from any other region, and it’s no surprise that we are seeing more and more investment delegations visiting from across the globe.
Worcestershire’s ability to innovate has enabled the county to pioneer projects like one of the UK’s first 5G testbeds and the county’s central location keeps businesses connected to every corner of the country.
Kevin Powell, Chair, Worcestershire Ambassadors
I am very proud to say I am made in Worcestershire. I was educated here, have worked here, and enjoyed the facilities and rich history our county uniquely offers for most of my life.
It’s my passion for our county that resulted in me becoming a Worcestershire Ambassador. We have a shared aim of ensuring this is a County to be proud of by helping to promote Worcestershire as a great place to live, work, invest, visit and do business.
As Worcestershire Ambassadors we are delighted to work with the new Worcestershire brand, and fully support this new county wide initiative.
