Worcestershire Manufacturing - Mazak Europe HQ Careers Options

This year Make UK launched the first ever UK National Manufacturing Day and Mazak Europe HQ based in Worcestershire took part in the event. The aim - to showcase the range of highly skilled jobs, apprenticeships and amazing opportunities for reskilling and career development available in the UK and in Worcestershire.
Manufacturing is a cornerstone of the Worcestershire economy and Mazak are key players in the county’s UK and global production space. According to UK Business Counts 2021 - Worcestershire’s Advanced Manufacturing Sector (10.5%) is significantly higher than the England average (7.5%).
Young visitors to the open day at Mazak were able to experience a fully operational Smart Factory, and European Technology Centre. Information was available about the range of career opportunities available to school leavers and graduates, as well and those looking to reskill at all levels.
One of the highlights of the day included Mazak’s purchase lead, Paul Lawrence, firing up his restored Merlin Spitfire engine. Famously known for powering the Spitfire and Lancaster bomber, the MK A engine is an icon of global engineering and inspiration. Watch the video to see this in action!
